RoseSkinCo Lumi Sale: Save 25% on Our Favorite IPL Device | Well+Good
Then there's the RoseSkinCo Lumi (normally $229), which really does work. So well, in fact, that it's the only IPL device our editors swear by for DIY-ing long-haul hair removal in their own homes. Seriously—our W+G beauty contributor Zoe Weiner previously wrote that it got rid of her pesky facial hair in four weeks flat. Lucky for you, the device is 30 percent off during the brand's Pink Friday sale, happening now through November 15.
Normally $220, now $159.

Cons:
The Lumi is a cute, compact FDA-cleared device that uses pulses of light (intense light) to destroy hair at the follicle. IPL lasers are often used in a professional setting, like a dermatologist's office or a medspa, but the Lumi pops the same tech into a compact, handheld device you can use from the comfort of your bathroom.
Here's how it works: once you've shaved your desired target area, all you have to do is turn the Lumi on, select from six intensity settings, and slide the device over your skin. You can use it just about anywhere, but RoseSkinCo says it's a good fit for removing hair on the underarms, face (below the cheekbones only), legs, arms, and bikini line. According to Weiner, "It doesn't hurt at all—it mostly just feels like a quick little zap and flash of light—which was a welcome surprise given that I had to bail on a pro-grade program a few years ago because it was too painful."
As with other laser hair removal products and methods, using the Lumi isn't a one-and-done deal. You'll need to keep up with treatments consistently (as in once a week for about 12 weeks) to see results, but you should notice a difference in your hair regrowth after week three or four.
